Breathless: An American Girl in Paris

Breathless: An American Girl in Paris - Nancy K. Miller There are so many books about Americans going to Paris, but I got intrigued about this book after reading this review http://www.biographile.com/biographile-recommends-breathless-an-american-girl-in-paris-by-nancy-k-miller/26755/. Plus her passion for French nouvelle vague (New Wave) films of the late 1950s and 1960s intrigued me as well - the title of the book Breathless is taken from a French New Wave film, too. Maybe An American Girl in Paris is inspired by the American film starring Gene Kelly, An American in Paris? I'll just have to read the book to find out :p

Ultimately, it's the tough lessons and daily life in Paris in the 1960s that makes me want to read it :)
